Hellenistic Greece Tanagra Figure

Wheaton College purchased the Tanagra figure from Edward H. Marrin Gallery in 1985. It is a draped woman figure from Hellenistic period, the woman has the posture with the right leg supporting the weight of the body and the arrangement of the himation folds, which muffle the left arm. It also has smooth back with a little rectangular vent hole. The record about it before coming to Wheaton is limited.
