Audrey, the Shepherd Lass

Audrey, the Shepherd Lass was donated to Wheaton College by Mrs. Thomas J. Watson (Jeannette Kittredge, Class of 1902). Created by the American artist Gari Melchers circa 1886, the painting depicts a young blond girl knitting while tending her goats. The painting traversed several continents before arriving at Wheaton.
