Ginnie Scripps Pace

Ginnie Scripps Pace was apparently the uniform set's first owner, according to a note found with the set. The working assumption has been that Ginnie is a nickname, presumably for Virginia. Unfortunately, there is no central archive or database for A.W.V.S. records, and attempting to track down Pace through genealogical research has also proved fruitless. At this point, the only thing known for sure about her is her name, and that she presumably served in the A.W.V.S during World War II. Based on insiginia and patches from the uniform set, however, there is reason to believe that she was involved in the Motor Transport Service division of her local A.W.V.S. chapter, as well as a badge designating her to be an Instructor. Additionally, a Civilian Protection patch was found amongst the miscelania of the uniform set, possibly designating another role.
