Private Collection

In 1985, the Portrait Head of Robert Dingley by William Hoare of Bath was acquired by an unknown buyer and entered a private collection. The location of the collection remains unknown and no traces of the purchases exist, to my knowledge. The previous owner, Florence Ashton lived in London and the study then enters a gallery located in London. Therefore, I believe that the private collection was located within the United Kingdom, and more specifically, in London.
