The Leger Galleries Ltd

The Leger Galleries acquired the Portrait Head of Robert Dingley in November 1995. They exhibited it in their sales catalogue entitled "Black on Blue and White" as item no.1 that same month.  

The Leger Galleries was established in 1892 and located at 13 Old Bond Street, London W1X 3DB. It specialised in English paintings, watercolours and Old Masters paintings. The gallery was merged with Spink Gallery in 1996 to form the Spink Leger Pictures, eradicating the Leger Galleries' records. The Leger Galleries sold Portrait Head of Robert Dingley in November 1995 to Alexander B.V Johnson.
