Thomas Holman

Somewher between 1979-2012 (33 YEARS), an unknown owner (or possibly James Jackson) sold the Wood print to Thomas Holman of New York, according to Stephanie Bond of Child's Gallery in Boston. This information was delivered via email through correspondence between Erin Wolf, Class of 2015, and Professor Tripp Evans. It is unknown as to the purchased price for the piece. However, it is clear that the piece was probably sold for a large sum of money because of the Swann Gallery sale of another Sultry Night print ($36,000).

"Thomas S. Holman is an art historian, author, and private fine art advisor. During the past 25 years he has served as Chief Curator at the Norton Museum of Art, Curator of Collections at the Minnesota Museum of American Art, Associate Director at Forum Gallery, and Executive Director at the Hudson River Museum, Albany Museum of Art, and Marietta/Cobb Museum of Art. Mr. Holman works and resides in New York City."
