The Bloomsbury Workshop

The Bloomsbury Group was a gathering of artists, writers, and philosophers who worked and studied together. They were loosely based in Bloomsbury, London during the early 20th century. Dorothy Hepworth, Patricia Preece, and Stanley Spencer were all members. The Bloomsbury Workshop is a dealer specializing in the works by the artists of the Bloomsbury Group. In 2000, Sonya Redway Reading was returned to London, when the Bloomsbury Workshop received the collection of paintings that Mr. Ackerman housed in New York. This was the second of two exhibitions of paintings by Dorothy Hepworth mounted by the Bloomsbury Workshop - the previous one occurred in 1991. Sonya Redway Reading was displayed in "More about the 'Masquerade'" exhibiting from July 27th to August 25th, 2000 in London.
